Thoughts

Philip, Jackie’s younger brother, who emigrated to Canada as a teen hadn’t seen his family for 21 years. When I met him, I said, we are not having that, and booked a flight to meet the clan. We found arms open wide. They made Philip feel like not a day had passed, and I was treated just like family (only better). Since, I’ve admired George's fierce love for his family, nothing he wouldn’t do. His devotion to his soulmate Jackie to the last breath and beyond. His stamina to argue for what he felt was right for his community. HIs playfulness with his grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. And his determination to get the most of out of life. Jackie and George's visits to Canada endeared them to my family too — they have been saddened of their passing, and send their condolences to the family there. Good bye George, I will miss your humour, your caring and your love.

There isn't any words to describe how much I am going to miss you. You are my hero. My whole life you have always caught me before I hit the ground. You always believed in me. I wouldn't be the women I am today if it wasn't for your love, wisdom and stubbornness. I will be forever grateful for everything you have done for me and my little family. You were the best ganggamp to little Ellie and I am so grateful that she got 12 years of memories with you that I know she will cherish forever. And I will cherish all my memories. You are the best grandad anyone could ask for. I love you so much 💗
